Camp Moosilauke.

For over 100 years Moosilauke has stood apart from other camps for three important reasons:

What We Do is Special

Although other camps talk about offering competition quality athletics, a complete waterfront, and a comprehensive and exciting outdoor program, few provide top-flight instruction and opportunities in each realm. Moosilauke prides itself on excelling in all three areas. Click on Sports, Waterfront and Backcountry Leadership Program to learn more.

Where We Do it is Extraordinary

Moosilauke resides on over 200 acres of forests and fields and a secluded and pristine lake. We have over a mile of unspoiled shoreline that is home to a unique system of trails and overnight camping areas. Camps with twice as many campers make do with campuses half our size. And our location in the White Mountains provides easy access to New England’s best rivers and mountains.

But it’s How we Do it That Makes All the Difference.

Moosilauke creates a uniquely positive growth experience by combining extraordinary attention to the individual needs of each camper (we have approximately 140 campers, a three-to-one camper to staff ratio, and an average cabin size of six), a pressure-free, fun and supportive atmosphere, and a highly skilled and caring administration and staff. Gordon Miller, the Director/Owner, has his doctorate from Columbia and his written a number of books. Bill and Sabina McMahon, the Managing Directors, also have advanced degrees from Columbia. In the off-season they live and work at the Thacher School where Bill is the Director of Admissions and Sabina is the Dean of Students.
